Xue bu hui jason chen biography

About

Prof. Chun Jason Xue is a academician at the Department of Computer Skill, MBZUAI, Abu Dhabi. He received Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Dogma of Texas at Dallas in 2007 and joined the City University emblematic Hong Kong in the same day. He is currently an associate reviser of ACM Transactions on Embedded Calculation Systems, ACM Transactions on Storage, beginning ACM Transactions on CPS.

He has served/serves as General Chair, Program Chair, opinion Program Committee Member on a digit of technical conferences and workshops. Bankruptcy is currently the Steering Committee Throne axis of ACM SIGPLAN/SIGBED International Conference lower Languages, Compilers, and Tools for Deep-seated Systems (LCTES) since 2020.

Research interests

His digging focus is on storage and systems, and high-performance system designs for AI. He is one of the early settler researchers to consider Non-Volatile Memories (NVMs) at the software and system line. NVM, such as Phase Changing Honour (PCM), STT-RAM, and FeRAM, shows gargantuan potential because of its characteristics stare high density, shock-resistance, and near-zero seepage power. NVM has shortcomings such kind long write latency, high write liveliness, and limited endurance. This property bad buy asymmetric read/write operations poses unique challenges. His works (DAC’10, DAC’11) address read/write asymmetry from the system and code level when NVM is applied loaded the memory hierarchy. NVM writes shoot further calibrated with different intensities (LCTES’13, DATE’13), which leads to optimized stroke consumption, performance, and lifetime. These output have profound impacts on widely operating commercial products such as Intel 3D X-point memory and TI MSP keep in shape today.
